Introducing National Trick or Treat Day!

After amassing more than 100,000 signatures, inspiring thousands of social media posts and igniting some seriously spirited debates, our controversial national petition to change the date of Halloween is evolving! It's been nearly a year since we launched the original initiative and now we have another trick in our bag of treats!

We’ve listened to ALL of your feedback since the petition started in 2018 and view this as an opportunity to truly honor what Halloween is – a celebration of self-expression and unity. While we still believe an end-of-October Saturday observance will promote safety and increase the fun, this year we will be launching a national initiative designed to enhance the Halloween that we all know and love.

Instead of changing the date American's celebrate Halloween, the HCA, in a partnership with Party City and other brands, will be adding an additional day of festivities in the hopes of bringing more people together. National Trick or Treat Day (NTTD) will take place annually on the last Saturday of October when Americans can participate in community parades, throw neighborhood parties and opt for daytime Trick or Treating.

We're launching the #ALLoween campaign designed to support the all-day celebration of National Trick or Treat Day AND the time-honored traditions of Halloween on October 31st.

The National Trick or Treat Day campaign will officially launch in September on Friday the 13th and will include national events, contests, prize packs and more to ensure the ultimate Saturday celebration! Stay Tuned!!
